Dell Inspiron Mini 9 Netbook

At its heart Dell Inspiron Mini 9 Netbook is very much in the mold on the Eee PC 901, in contrast to the MSI Wind, Asus Eee PC 1000H or ‘latest offer, the Eee PC S101. It is a small - very small indeed - thanks to the 8.9in screen with the current ever 1024 x 600 resolution and as such is only slightly wider and deeper than the very first Netbook, the Eee PC 701. It is too light, but not quite sub-1 kg. On our scales it measured 1.08 kilograms, which combined with its slim and compact frame, puts it among the most accessible portable netbooks.

It is also, in our opinion, one of the best looking and reassuringly met, too. Never had a problem with firmness in the Eee PC, but many people are not so keen on fashion and if one of them, the Inspiron Mini 9 should be a good tonic. Like many notebooks these days it is slightly wedge-shaped design, with the whole machinery narrowing to a slim and comfortably curved front edge. This is reflected in the whole machine, which in edge slightly tapered to ensure there are no sharp edges everywhere. In conjunction with the subtly curvaceous lid of the Mini gives 9 a nice impression that it is easy to handle and carry around.[Trustedreviews]
