Funai to Sell LCD/Blu-Ray Combo

FUNAI (Sylvania, Symphonic, Emerson) is planning sales of LCD TVs with an integrated Blu-ray Disc players in the U.S. next summer. Currently, 20% of all FUNAI TV sales in the United States are based on a TV / DVD combo. FUNAI is likely to offer medium and large screens with integrated Blu-ray players, like Wal-Mart and electronics shops. Details are limited at this point, but the planned 42-inch LCD TV / Blu-ray combo, for example, might be priced between 1100 dollars and 1300 dollars, which can not be too competitive is taking another year from now.[CrunchGear]
