Intel DG45FC

Intel DG45FC breaks new motherboard, since the first Mini-ITX motherboard, we have already with a regular desktop processor socket. While Mobile on the desktop (MODT) boards are fairly common, those using mobile phones (notebook) chipset and processor in the form factor desktop. For example, Jetway J9F2 (Socket F Intel Mobile) or excellent MSI MS-9803 (Mobile Intel Socket P). They are popular because they are very low power yet fully functional, so great are intended for use in Home Theater PC (HTPCs) or custom in-car entertainment devices.

However, DG45FC to the traditional (albeit small) on the desktop, that the motherboard does not have all the energy-saving wizardry to notebook chipsets. They are less frequent, as they usually draw more power and require more cooling and larger radiators, which restricts the application board. However, with low power versions of desktop processors currently on the market, the difference is somewhat blurred.[Trustedreviews]
