Lite-On launches its first 6x internal Combo Blu-ray in iHES206. In iHES206 combines Blu-ray DVD playback capabilities in one device. Burner has a SATA connection and is able to record all conventional CD and DVD formats, as well as read Blu-ray DVD and CD media. All types of single-layer Blu-ray discs: BD-R, BD-RE and BD-ROM drive are read with speeds up to 6x, while dual-layer Blu-ray discs are read at speeds up to 4x. The device burns at 16x DVD ± R, Dual Layer DVD ± R at 8x, DVD-RW 6x, and DVD-RAM with a speed of 12x. In iHES206 also features LightScribe labeling technology.[Hardware]

Funai to Sell LCD/Blu-Ray Combo

FUNAI (Sylvania, Symphonic, Emerson) is planning sales of LCD TVs with an integrated Blu-ray Disc players in the U.S. next summer. Currently, 20% of all FUNAI TV sales in the United States are based on a TV / DVD combo. FUNAI is likely to offer medium and large screens with integrated Blu-ray players, like Wal-Mart and electronics shops.
