In July, Sony Ericsson celebrates three years of its Walkman phone brand by launching three new mobile phones. One of them, toting HSDPA slider-W595 is what I have to make this week. For my money, this phone is an absolute stunner to look at. My review sample came in a nice shade of blue. Vodafone has a much less attractive black version of three gray, and Orange seem to have a blue available. Sony Ericsson is to have a fancy colors - and irrelevant - a name: Lava Black, Gray Jungle, Active Blue. Apparently, there is also a white version of Cosmopolitan knocking around. In the upper and lower ends of the phone is curved from the rear to take you slightly longer than the front. A nice shiny blue trim is located along the long edges and curves its way round the back of the phone.[Trustedreviews]

Last Monday Samsung Electronics announced the U.S. release of two new UMPCs with HSDPA and Vista Business, Q1U-CMXP and Q1UP-V. As a reminder, Q1UP-V is equipped, Core Solo U1500 (1.33GHz), 2GB of RAM, 802.11b / g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 1.3Mpix camera. The Q1U-CMXP functions almost the same specifications, but also integrates cellular 3G HSDPA modem. In Q1UP-V will cost around 930 €, a Q1U-CMXP 960 €.[Akihabaranews]

Here’s good news for fans of Nokia phones. Nokia finally announced the date of its new Nokia N96. S?uchawk? will be released in Britain on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 through 3, Carphone Warehouse, Orange, Phones4U, T-Mobile and Vodafone. In case you did not know, the cell phone provides a 2.8 inch LCD display, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, cool 5MP camera, 16GB flash memory, tuner DVB-H.
